The begining

After deciding that I wanted the turbo MR2 and it looked like I had the money to buy and insure the blighter I began searching in earnest

Once I started looking into buying the turbo I realised that there are a whole host of horrors out there in terms of dodgy history and unknown mechanical changes to give mega horsepower. I decided to get a personal import straight from Japan. Why, let me explain....

In the end I bought the car above from a guy in Aberdeen and yet vindicated all of the above. The car was imported by the previous owner and was totally standard in every way. It comes with ABS, PAS and LSD and is a Revision 3 model which has the bigger brakes and better suspension just like the Revision 2 models. However the Revision 3 and above models have the redesigned rear light clusters and body trim and the later style engine. A much better buy and all for much less than I could buy it for. In addition all the necessary UK conversion stuff had been done.

Anyway, please browse the menu above for my stories of living with this car. Any comments are welcome, just email me from the link on the home page, cheers.
