Finally I have an accurate boost display for the Blue Dolphin. I have always wanted a digital display mounted in my line of vision but I spent about 6 months looking for the right kit. First some history

I found some stuff kicking about on the net about building your own digital boost gauge but none of it was complete enough for you to order the parts and start building it from scratch.

I spent a lot of time looking around for parts to build the unit I wanted, ie digital display for psi to .1 units and mounted in my line of vision, or near enough. I found the required bits but when the cost was added together it turned out to be a close tie between building your own and buying the gauge built already, just plug in like. In the end I chose to buy a plug in ready made gauge and I have no quibbles about the accuracy, display or service from the company I chose.

First off, as it turns out the stock display in dash board is pretty accurate upto 10psi. Very slow to react both positive boost and off the throttle but nevertheless pretty accurate. Shame a tuned Rev 1 or 2 goes above this and a stock never mind tuned Rev 3+ is 13psi thus making the standard gauge a bit unless! You do need an after market boost gauge on these cars.

I bought my gauge from Dyno tyne and I have no complaints about the gauge whatsoever. The only thing I would say is that the supplied 1/4"NPT sensor unit isn't so easy to find an adaptor for. I used Think Auto to supply me a steel M/F -3JIC x 1/4NPTF adaptor to attach my boost gauge to the manifold, pic shown below. Good people who know their business and will help you in getting the right parts
